The Oloroso Tradición VORS has been awarded 100 points, the highest possible score given by GUIA VINOS GOURMETS, the very prestigious and oldest wine publication in Spain, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
Oloroso Tradición VORS has received 100 points from the demanding tasting committee composed this year by 21 professionals, including renowned winemakers, sommeliers, wine journalists and wine tasters, who have blind tasted 4,915 wines from 1,270 wineries. To obtain the maximum score and enter the ‘League -100’, the tasting committee must unanimously score a wine with 100 points. With this 100 score award, Oloroso Tradición VORS joins a list of the 9 best Spanish wines of the year (see attached list), being the only wine of the DO Jerez-Xérès-Sherry present in this exclusive list.
This exceptional Oloroso possesses a great concentration of aromas, is intense and complex, but is also smooth and elegant. The oxidative ageing this unique wine undergoes for over 30 years in American oak casks in the Solera system, gives this very special wine its marked and extraordinary characteristics. It has a limited and numbered production of only 3,000 bottles per year.
